MAPA Convention Las VegasMooney Aircraft Pilots Association (MAPA) held theirannual convention in Las Vegas in September 2001.  The convention included two full days of seminars and a day at the airport.  Nearly 150 Mooneys flew into North Las Vegas Airport.  We attended the Ice Cream Social and Paper Airplane Contest Thursday evening. That's us standing in the back.  We met Jerry Manthey, who conducts Mooney maintenance classes for MAPA. As luck would have it he was spending a week in San Diego following the convention. He came to our hangar and did a visual inspection of 37F. He confirmed that our airplane has been well taken care of and is in great condition. |
